Tibet, 19th cent.
size: 62 x 39,5 cm.

Intriguing deity, seated in yab-yum amids various deities of the Nyingma-tradition. Especially the lower part of the thangka is interesting: the fierce Dharmapalas, among which Rahula, with his snake-body, and below the scull-border fantastic scenes of cremation-grounds.
This could be a special form of the tantric master Padmasambhava.
