B-Class Ramas were the sons born of legitimate married wives of secondary high caste or those born from marriage with the royal household member. Only the A-class Ranas were those who were born from marriage with a high-caste wife, and only A-class Ranas could be Prime Minister.
Although second-class Ranas, they had their own sumptuous palaces in and out the Valley and had their income.
