This thangka belongs to the Nyingma-tradition. In this case Vajrapani holds a visvavajra , a twenty-pronged vajra.
Above him Samantabhadra, the Adi-Buddha in Nyingma-iconography, flanked by a Nyingma lama and a very interesting tantric practisioner.
Stylisticly this painting originates from the northeastern regions of Tibet (Amdo).
