greenish-grey schist
Gandhara region, ca. 2nd cent.
high: 14 cm.

Small fragment, depicting below two heads of Bodhisattvas, with above an angel (apsara). The color of the stone and the faces of the Bodhisattvas, with the typical open eyes, point to the northern part of Pakistan, especially the valley of Swat.
