Depicted is Indrani, the shakti of Indra, and one of the Saptamatrikas (the `Seven Mothers’). This group of female counterparts of the main Hindu-deities was very popular in the Kathmandu-valley.
She is holding the vajra, has the typical crown of Indra and has a horizontal third-eye; below her is her mount, the elephant.
