Indra and Indrani

Indra, the god of the Rain and Thunder, has always been very popular in Nepal, where he was essential for good rice-crops. He sits with his spouse Indrani under a rich toran (prabhamandala), with a large Garuda in top and left and right two makaras. Their throne is supported by two elephants.
