One of the few surviving bookcovers for the Beijing-edition of theĀ Kanjur, send by the Yongle-emperor to the most important monasteries in Tibet. This cover, decorated with four of eight symbols of the Astamangala, with in the middle a waterpot and theĀ triratna, was an undercover, while there is no bilingual inscription on the backside.
